The Kingdom Hosts the High-Level Coordination Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its capacity as Chair of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, hosted in Riyadh on Sunday the High-Level Coordination Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, in partnership with the European Union and Norway as co-chairs, and with the participation of high-level representatives from several countries and regional and international organizations.

The Kingdom's representative at the meeting, Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to working with the State of Palestine and all its partners to achieve peace, statehood, and stability for the Palestinian people. Dr. Manal stressed that establishing a Palestinian state represents a regional and international priority, moral responsibility, and a fundamental condition for maintaining regional and global security and peace.

Discussions were based on the foundations established by the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, the Peace Proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump, and the Sharm El-Sheikh Declaration, to ensure consistency and integration among all diplomatic, humanitarian, and institutional tracks, leading to a just and lasting peace.

The Riyadh meeting represented an important step in strengthening coordination among the core group of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, laying the foundations for an integrated and implementable work program to guide the next phase with the aim of managing the transitional phase, work toward the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and achieve security and stability for all peoples and countries in the region.

The meeting highlighted the emergency international coalition to support the Palestinian Authority's budget, launched by the Kingdom, Norway, Spain, and France. The meeting also renewed its call for the international community to provide urgent financial support in light of the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, the importance of delivering humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip in accordance with humanitarian principles, and supporting the role of UNRWA in providing essential services, most notably health and education, to the Palestinian people.
