His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs met today in the Bahraini capital, Manama, with His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain co-chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani welcomed His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressing his pride in the deep-rooted historical relations and strong fraternal ties that unite the two countries and peoples, which have always enjoyed the care and attention of the leadership of the two countries.
For his part, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked His Excellency for the warm hospitality and reception, praising the Executive Committee's meeting as evidence of the mutual desire and serious commitment to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation, coordination, and integration at all levels, and the joint endeavor to advance bilateral work paths and initiatives towards broader horizons under the guidance of the wise leadership of the two countries.
The Executive Committee reviewed the annual performance report of the committees emanating from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council for the years 2024-2025 and viewed a visual presentation that included monitoring and measuring the performance of the joint objectives and initiatives between the two countries, as well as the performance results of the relevant authorities in implementing their joint objectives and initiatives.
The committee approved the timeline for the work of the Council and its subcommittees for the years 2025-2026, in addition to directing the heads of the Council's subcommittees to work towards completing the implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, the committee chairmen signed the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting.
