HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the Kingdom's appreciation for the Republic of South Sudan's announcement to support the Kingdom's candidacy to host the World Expo 2030 in the capital, Riyadh, and that this support comes as a culmination of the positive relations between the Kingdom and South Sudan, during a press conference with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan, Mr. Mayiik Ayii Deng.
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that he discussed with his counterpart the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Mayiik Ayii Deng, the partnership between the two countries, and exchanged views on matters related to regional and international peace and security.
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs explained that the talks that took place during his official visit included strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, energy, and security, as well as discussing the issue of the roadmap and the remaining tasks under the peace agreement that has been activated, with the importance of resolving conflicts by peaceful means.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Sudan, Mr. Mayiik Ayii Deng, welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing his official visit to Juba as historic in light of the tensions that the world is witnessing, explaining that his country seeks to strengthen its relationship with the Kingdom to create a balance in light of the popularity of polarization around the world and that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents a unique model with its qualitative features and capabilities.
His Excellency Mr. Mayiik Ayii Deng stated that South Sudan enjoys geographical diversity and has high potential in the field of agriculture and investment. They seek to create a stable environment for investment and are proud to continue achieving economic stability along with the peace plan.
