On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed ElKhereiji participated today in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) 2025, held in Awaza in the Republic of Turkmenistan.
His Excellency the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech in which he emphasized the need for concerted international efforts and the building of strategic partnerships and alliances with the international community to contribute to achieving global economic stability, prosperity, and sustainable development, especially in landlocked developing countries.
His Excellency affirmed that the Kingdom continues to exert all efforts to support the global economy and its sustainability. He reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to the importance of concerted efforts to find lasting solutions that address global economic challenges and obstacles in trade, connectivity, development, and transportation, which hinder progress and limit countries' ability to achieve sustainable development.
His Excellency stated that the Kingdom has placed sustainable development among its national priorities through Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that the Kingdom seeks to implement global plans to achieve sustainable development by designing sustainable projects and smart investments that contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Through its membership in international organizations and blocs, the Kingdom is working to revitalize development process in relations between countries and support cooperation and understanding among them.
His Excellency emphasized the importance of cooperation and activating international and joint efforts to address regional and global challenges, underscoring the need to assist landlocked developing countries in accessing global markets to help consolidate security and stability and promote sustainable development for the benefit of the peoples of the region and the world as a whole.
