On December 4, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation, as well as ways to develop them to meet the aspirations of the leadership and people of the two countries.
Following the meeting, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman co-chaired the Executive Committee meeting emanating from the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. They reviewed the strong fraternal relations and ways to develop them at both the bilateral and multilateral levels within the framework of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, and intensifying cooperation through several initiatives that would elevate relations to broader horizons.
Both sides commended the existing cooperation and coordination among the subcommittees and working groups of the Coordination Council, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this momentum to achieve the shared strategic interests of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Secretariat of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council reviewed the Council's work and that of its subcommittees over the past period, as well as updates and preparations for the eighth meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman signed the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.
The meeting was attended by the following members of the Executive Committee from the Saudi side: His Excellency Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers; His Excellency Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance; Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; and Engineer Fahad Alharthi, Head of the Secretariat's working group from the Saudi side.
